I am experiencing audio distortions. I have updated the audio drivers with Realtek HD audio drivers and I am still experiencing problems. I have switched off the aero interface and this has made the problem slightly better however there is still popping and distortion.

Uninstall audio drivers in Device manager and also in the programs and features menu. Follow these steps to manually uninstall and reinstall the device driver: If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide eprimo.


In the list, double-click the type of device, and then locate the specific device that isn’t working properly. Right-click the device, and then click Properties. Click the Driver tab, click Uninstalland esprimp click OK. In the Device Manager dialog box, click v55335 Action menu, and then click Scan for hardware changes.

If you see a message saying that Windows has to install driver software for your unknown device, click Locate and install driver software recommended. If the device driver is installed and working properly, you have resolved the problem. Now, restart the computer and reinstall the latest drivers.

The audio distortion is better with the Windows 7 drivers than the manufacturer’s drivers. Also should I move a window whilst music is playing the audio distortion is more pronounced.
